What do you want?

I wasn’t aware that so many of the US state flags are terrible.  I always assumed they were somewhat unique (like Ohio) but instead I would say at least 75% of them are just the state seal on a bland background.  Sometimes they even put the name of the state on the flag itself, because they’re so bland no one would know whose flag it was otherwise.  

On that note, my top five state flags (in no order):

1. Tennessee (this probably is my favorite)

2. Maryland (Old Style)

3. California (I like the bear)

4. Alabama (plain, but it was either this or Alaska’s Big Dipper)

5. Ohio (original.  Except for the ripping off of the US flag)

Sidenote:  if Wyoming’s flag was the same as the University of Wyoming’s, it would be on the list.
